General Services
What services does Affordable Psych offer?
We offer psychiatric evaluations and psychiatric medication management for adults (18+). Our services focus on treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and OCD using a thoughtful, individualized approach.
What conditions do you treat?
We specialize in treating anxiety disorders, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). We also help patients taper off psychiatric medications when appropriate.
Do you offer therapy or counseling?
No, we do not offer therapy. We focus on psychiatric medication management and lifestyle-based support. However, we’re happy to collaborate with your therapist or refer you to one if needed.
Cost & Payment
Do you accept insurance?
No. We are a cash-pay practice and do not bill insurance. This allows us to keep our prices transparent, affordable, and free from the restrictions imposed by insurance companies.
How much do appointments cost?
Our pricing is simple and affordable—typically less than most insurance copays. New patient appointments are $140 and follow-up appointments are $45.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept debit and credit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.
Medications
Do you prescribe medications?
Yes. We prescribe non-controlled psychiatric medications when appropriate, such as SSRIs, SNRIs, atypical antidepressants, and mood stabilizers. Each treatment plan is personalized to your needs.
Do you prescribe controlled substances like Adderall, Ritalin, or Xanax?
No. We do not prescribe controlled substances, including stimulants or benzodiazepines.
Why don’t you prescribe controlled substances?
The licensing required to prescribe controlled substances is expensive and heavily regulated. By choosing not to offer these medications, we are able to keep our costs low and pass those savings on to our patients.
Can you help me taper off medications?
Yes. We frequently help patients safely taper off psychiatric medications when appropriate, using a gradual, supportive approach tailored to your symptoms and goals.

However, we understand the cost of labs can be prohibitive. We are working on partnering with a lab to provide low-cost lab services to our patients….stay tuned!

Absolutely. With your permission, we’re happy to collaborate with other providers involved in your care.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. We follow all HIPAA regulations and use secure platforms to ensure your privacy.
